For obtaining an optimal result for the crop in a greenhouse nowadays automated irrigation systems are being used. By optimizing the irrigation time and keeping it constant, an optimal growth is stimulated. There are many types of irrigation vehicles on the market with specific properties. The owner of several greenhouses in the Netherlands has asked MungosWorks to investigate the practises of his irrigation vehicles. After several in situ measurements it was noticed that the speed of the irrigation vehicles used in these greenhouses didn't match with each other. The owner of the greenhouses has asked MungosWorks to develop a speed control on top of the already existing systems onboard these vehicles to keep the speed of the irrigation vehicles constant and reduce the large differences in speed between these vehicles.
The speed control was developed, produced and afterwards fully set up according to the specific wishes of the costumer. The device consisted of a micro-electronical regulating circuit, an RPM-sensor and a speed setting system.
