Innovation in greenhouses is booming. The number of automatically moving vehicles in and around greenhouses raises the effectiveness of the entire company by minimizing the time products are being transported. To prevent chaos it is important that at intersections all traffic is being guided automatically in the right directions. A company located in Westland has asked MungosWorks to develop a loop detector which a traffic guidance system can control by stopping vehicles are letting them pass at intersections.
This system consists of the following parts:
The functionality is based upon a signalling wire that is being controlled by a sender module. This signalling wire is located underneath an intersection. If a vehicle equipped with a receiver module receives a stop signal, the engine is stopped, which results in the vehicle coming to a halt, and vice versa. This way a contactless, non-wearing system has been created which is highly usable in greenhouses with its humid environment.
