Greenhouse Builder
In cooperation with a large greenhouse building company (Havecon Kassenbouw) a machine has been developped to automatically build the roof of a greenhouse. With this machine there's no need anymore for people to go on top of a greenhouse to perform these hazerdous tasks.
There are actually two machines:
- The real greenhouse builder. This machine can ride on top of a greenhouse, through its gutter. The machine can carry a certain amount of glass sheets, which can be picked up using suction cups. This glass sheet can then be places on top of the already places structures.
- The supply shuttle. The shuttle rides on top of the greenhouse in the same way the builder does. The shuttle is loaded with glass sheets at one end of the greenhouse. It then travels towards the builder, and delivers its cargo.
As of now the first machine has been built and it is being tested rigorously.
